The Mexican player was card-dead for most of the final table, except for one hand with pocket kings, where he just picked up the blinds. He was also eliminated by Spirin. UnaVez 3-bet preflop, made a 1/4-pot c-bet on the flop (SPR fell below 1), and shoved the rest on the turn.

Before the Venom, UnaVez had played 67 tournaments on PokerKig and notched his career-best cash of $323K for 2nd place in the $2,650 OSS XL Main Event.

6th place — wisimaki ($110,888)

wisimaki came to the final table as the short stack and never climbed above 50 BB. In one hand, he called down two streets with third pair against Spirin, and after investing half his stack, dropped to 16 BB. Eventually, he was down to 5 BB and busted when his Q3s lost to Mateos’s 85o. wisimaki’s SharkScope data unavailable.

In 3-max play, Spirin had a perfect ICM situation: he started with 225 BB, while Disenchantment and manuelmpc had 69 BB and 79 BB respectively. When Spirin folded, the other two clashed frequently.

Disenchantment lost those confrontations. In his final hand, he 4-bet shoved for 39 BB with Q9s, only to run into AQo from manuelmpc.

The 3rd-place finish was the Ukrainian player’s career-best cash.

2nd place — Manuel «manuelmpc» Carvalho ($437,671)

Heads-up began with Spirin trailing 111 BB to 200 BB. At one point, he dropped to 70 BB but quickly recovered and took the lead.

One of the biggest Venom PKO pots

The heads-up lasted for almost an hour, with the lead changing hands several times. The tournament ended in a surprising way — with an effective stack of 99 BB.

Final hand:
Preflop: manuelmpc opened with J♥6♦, Rigapols81 defended the BB with 9♠5♠.
Flop: 4♠6♦K♦ — manuelmpc made a c-bet and got raised.
Turn: 8♥ — Rigapols81 overbet 19.25 BB into 14.94 BB, manuelmpc called.
River: Q♠ — Rigapols81 shoved 82 BB into a 53 BB pot. manuelmpc had 73 BB left, used his 10-second time bank, and made a hero call.

A stunned Chris Moneymaker, watching the stream, couldn’t believe it and said:

«Oh, really?»
