$10K WSOP Main Event 2024 attracted a record number of players: 10,112. This is 69 more than last year. The final table game lasted 235 hands.<\/p>\n\n

He lost a coin flip with AKs vs. Jordan Griff\u2019s 33 for a 15 BB pot. Board: AT93A.<\/p>\n\n

Joe Serock finished 8th ($1.25M)<\/h3>\n\n

Jordan Griff opened from UTG. Niklas Astedt on SB called. Joe Serock on BB went all-in for 20 BB with AJo. Jordan Griff folded 77, Astedt called with QQ \u2014 the trap was sprung. Board: T94J8.<\/p>\n\n

Brian Kim finished 7th ($1.5M)<\/h3>\n\n

This is one of the most talked-about hands from the final table. Kim started the final table with the second-largest stack but had fallen to the sixth-largest stack by this point.<\/p>\n\n

Boris Angelov opened from BTN to 2.3 BB. Kim on SB 3-bet to 5.9 BB. Niklas Astedt on BB 4-bet to 9.5 BB. Angelov quickly folded. Kim pushed for 27 BB. Astedt asked for a count and called.<\/p>\n\n

Kim showed K6s, Astedt showed TT. Astedt hit a set on the flop, Angelov picked up a flush draw on the turn, but the river was a blank.<\/p>\n\n

At 6-max, future champion Jonathan Tamayo was down to 12 BB but doubled up with A9o against Jordan Griff\u2019s AKo\u2014 hitting a nine on the river \u2014 moving up to third in the chip count.<\/p>\n\n

A few hands later, Tamayo doubled up again. Astedt opened from SB with pocket tens, Tamayo defended BB with KQo. The flop was AJT. Tamayo check-called three streets with all-in on the river.<\/p>\n\n

Andres Gonzalez finished 6th ($2M)<\/h3>\n\n

Gonzalez made a 4-bet shove for 20.5 BB with JJ, Astedt called with AQo \u2014 a king came on the flop.<\/p>\n\n

Boris Angelov finished 5th ($2.5M)<\/h3>\n\n

Angelov shoved for 6 BB with pocket sixes, Jonathan Tamayo on BB called with K6o. A king hit the flop, another king on the turn, river was a blank.<\/p>\n\n

Jason Sagle finished 4th ($3M)<\/h3>\n\n

Astedt opened from UTG. Sagle on BB, the shortest stack, went all-in for 9.3 BB. After two minutes of thought, Astedt called. Showdown: Sagle with jacks, Astedt with A3. Board: 84352.<\/p>\n\n

After Sagle\u2019s elimination, the players took a break and returned to the table the next day.<\/p>\n\n
